أقيم الحدث برعاية معالي الوزير وليد فياض في وزارة الطاقة والمياه، حيث ألقى الدكتور طوني عيسى، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة عيسى، كلمة ترحيبية أكد فيها التزام المجموعة بمستقبل مسؤول من خلال رحلة استدامة راسخة. حضر الحدث أصحاب المصلحة الداخليين والخارجيين، والمسؤولين، ومديري مجموعة IPT، ووسائل الإعلام.
في كلمته، أبرز الدكتور عيسى أنه ليس جديدًا على أي بي تي أن تكون منخرطة في نشاطات الاستدامة والمسؤولية الاجتماعية، فهي مستمرة على هذا النهج منذ سنوات طويلة وملتزمة به كجزء من استراتيجيتها الأساسية.
هذا التقرير هو الأول الذي تصدره أي بي تي بعد تحقيق تقدم ملحوظ في تطوير نشاطها في مجال الاستدامة من خلال الالتزام بالمعايير الدولية المعترف بها. وقد أنشأت وحدة متخصصة بالاستدامة ضمن هيكليتها الإدارية، ولجنة للمسؤولية الاجتماعية مكونة من مختلف مديريات وأقسام ودوائر المجموعة، تضع برنامج عمل خاص بها. كما استفادت من الخبرة الخارجية عبر مستشارة الاستدامة، هاسميغ خوري.
هذا التقرير هو الأول من نوعه الذي تصدره شركة عاملة في قطاع النفط والغاز والطاقة في لبنان. وتم الإعلان عنه بحضور معظم الشركاء الذين تعاونت معهم أي بي تي في تنفيذ محتوى التقرير،
وذلك من مقر وزارة الطاقة، الجهة الرسمية لهذا القطاع، وبحضور الوزير شخصيًا.
وأكمل عيسى قائلاً ,ما نهدف ونتطلع إليه بعد إصدار هذا التقرير هو:
أولًا، أن نتحمل مسؤولية أكبر في مجال الاستدامة.
ثانيًا، أن نساهم في نشر ثقافة الاستدامة.
والأهم، أن نصر على الاستمرار في التزامنا بهذا النهج رغم كل الأزمات المتلاحقة التي يعاني منها البلد. ما نقوم به هو التزام طوعي يعكس قناعة وإيمانًا راسخًا بلبنان وأهله. نحن جزء من هذا البلد الذي أعطانا الكثير، وعلينا واجب أخلاقي بالاستمرار في التزامنا وصمودنا وإيماننا به مهما كانت الظروف.
قدمت السيدة هاسميك الخوري، مستشارة الاستدامة لشركة IPT، التقرير، مسلطةً الضوء على المعايير التي اتبعتها، بما في ذلك معايير المبادرة العالمية لإعداد التقارير (GRI)، ومبادئ ميثاق الأمم المتحدة العالمي للأعمال، والتوافق مع أهداف التنمية المستدامة (SDGs). عرضت السيدة خوري الإنجازات الرئيسية لـ IPT في مجال الاستدامة منذ عام 2012 وشرحت الرؤية الأخلاقية للشركة فيما يتعلق بالمسؤولية البيئية والاجتماعية والحوكمة.(ESG) أوضحت السيدة الخوري الركائز الأربع لجهود الاستدامة فيIPT: الجودة-الصحة-السلامة؛ إدارة الطاقة والبيئة؛ إثراء المجتمع المحلي؛ والتميز في رأس المال البشري، مقدمةً أمثلة على الإنجازات في كل مجال. كما شرحت مراحل تطوير التقرير، والتي تضمنت إشراك مختلف أصحاب المصلحة لتحديد القضايا المادية لمبادرات الاستدامة الخاصة بهم.
وقال فياض : هذا اليوم يأتي في سياق مسار طويل من الانجازات المهمة التي تقوم بها شركة IPT مع العلم انه لا يوجد لدي مفاضلة بين الشركات و هي كل منها فاعلة في تظهير روح الشراكة مع الدولة كما و تظهير ما نريده من هذا الوطن ، فنحن نريد الشراكة المستدامة بين القطاع الخاص والقطاع العام من اجل الابراز للبنانيين وللعالم عن نماذج نجاح سواء في المؤسسات الخاصة او العامة كأبطال وطنيين National Champions ينشرون القيم و القدرات التي تميز لبنان على المستوى الإقليمي و العالمي .
وحيا الاعمال التي تقوم بها IPT لاسيما تطوير تقرير الاستدامة السنوي الذي يعنى بأمور بيئية واجتماعية والسلامة العامة و هي مهمة جداً، و تنعكس ايجاباً على المجتمع اللبناني بأسره.
وشدد على اهمية روح علاقة الشراكة الحقيقية المبنية على الثقة والوقائع والحقيقة و المصلحة العامة التي تمثلها الدولة والتي ستبقى متمسكة بها و ليس المصالح الشخصية، مشيراً الى انه اذا كانت العلاقة جيدة مع القطاع الخاص لا يعني ذلك انه يجب ان تكون على حساب الناس والمال العام والدولة ، بل بإيجاد توازن مبني على الثقة والعدالة والاحترام والقانون والصدق .
وحيّا جهود جميع العاملين في الشركة متمنيا لهم النجاح المستدام و أعرب عن ان ابواب الوزارة مفتوحة لجميع الشركاء من اجل ان نبني معا قطاع طاقة مستدامة لما للكلمة من معنى.
تقرير الاستدامة لعام ٢٠٢٣، يقدم مؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية (KPIs) لرحلة وإنجازات IPT في مجال الاستدامة، وهو متاح للعامة، ويمكن تحميله من موقع IPT الإلكتروني.
اختتم الحدث بجلسة أسئلة وأجوبة، مما أتاح للحضور الفرصة للتعمق في محتوى التقرير.
IPT launches its inaugural Sustainability Report for 2023

IPT Group Holding SAL celebrated a key milestone by launching their inaugural Sustainability Report for 2023, prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
The event, hosted by HE Minister Walid Fayad at the Ministry of Energy and Water, featured a welcome address by Dr. Toni Issa, Executive Chairperson of Issa Group, who affirmed the Group’s commitment towards a responsible future by paving a well-established journey of sustainability. The event was attended by internal and external stakeholders, officials, and IPT Group directors, executives and media.
In his address, Dr. Issa mentioned that it is not new for IPT to be engaged in sustainability and social responsibility activities, as it has been committed to this approach for many years, making it an integral part of its business strategy.
This report is the first one issued by IPT after making significant progress in its sustainability efforts. This was achieved by in accordance to internationally recognized standards, establishing a dedicated sustainability unit within its administrative structure, and creating a sustainability committee comprising various departments and divisions of the group, which develops its own sustainable work program. Additionally, the company has benefited from external expertise through the pivotal role played by sustainability consultant Hasmig Khoury.
This report is the first of its kind to be issued by a company operating in the oil, gas, and energy sector in Lebanon. The announcement was made in the presence of most of the partners who collaborated with IPT in implementing the report’s content. It was issued from the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy and water, the official authority for this sector, and attended by the minister personally.
Issa continued by saying, what we aim and aspire to achieve after issuing this report are:
Firstly, to place ourselves under responsibility in the field of sustainability.
Secondly, to contribute to spreading the culture of sustainability.
Most importantly, we insist on continuing our commitment to this approach despite the successive crises the country is experiencing. What we are doing is not mandated by the Ministry of Energy or any other official authority. We adhere to it voluntarily because it reflects a deep conviction and faith in this country and its people. We are part of this country, which has given us so much, and we have a moral duty to continue our commitment, resilience, and belief in it, no matter how tough the circumstances.
Mrs. Hasmig Khoury, Sustainability Consultant to IPT, presented the report, highlighting the benchmarks it followed, including GRI standards, the UN Global Compact Business Principles, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She showcased IPT’s sustainability milestones since 2012 and outlined the company’s ethical vision for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) responsibility. Khoury detailed the four pillars of IPT’s sustainability efforts: Quality-Health-Safety; Energy & Environmental Management; Enrich Local Community; and Human Capital Excellence, providing examples of achievements in each area. She also explained the phases of report development, which involved engaging various stakeholders to identify material issues for their sustainability initiatives.
Fayyad said: “This day comes in the context of a long series of significant achievements by IPT. I want to make it clear that I do not favor any company over another; they are all partners with the state in manifesting the spirit of partnership. We want sustainable partnerships between the private and public sectors to showcase success stories to the Lebanese people and the world, whether from private or public institutions. These are our national champions who spread the values that distinguish Lebanon on a global level.”
He commended the work done by IPT, especially their annual sustainability report, which addresses important environmental, social, and public safety issues that are crucial nowadays. He emphasized that the impact of these topics is very positive on the Lebanese society as a whole.
He stressed the importance of genuine partnerships based on trust, facts, and truth – not personal interests but rather public interest for common good – entrenched with commitment. He noted that a positive relationship with the private sector should not be at the expense of the people, public funds, or the state. Instead, it should be a balance based on trust, justice, respect, law, and honesty.
He saluted the efforts of all employees in the company, wishing them sustainable success, and confirmed that the doors of the ministry are open to all partners so that together we can build a truly sustainable energy sector.
The Sustainability Report for 2023 is now publicly available and can be downloaded from IPT’s website. This report provides key performance indicators (KPIs) of IPT’s sustainability journey and achievements.
